Full course description

This is a six-week course provides skills and knowledge to understand and address implicit bias in our everyday lives. Implicit biases are automatic patterns of thinking which can lead to discriminatory behaviors. While we all participate in implicit bias, we are capable of identifying and transforming biases to build more inclusive communities and organizations.

Each week, learners will engage in 1.5 hours of direct learning through videos and articles, 2-3 hours of written work on discussion boards and 1- 2 hours of essay writing. The conclusion week is designed as a collaborative writing activity. All activities are dictated by the weekly learning objectives. The six-week course totals 35-hours.
